About UniPath

Built by a student who was told it was not for him.

UniPath started with one question: why do some students get every advantage, while others get almost none?

H

Haris Akram

Founder of UniPath. Student at UCL studying International Management.

Growing up and attending Rokeby School, university felt like something that happened to other people. Not because I was not capable, but because nobody around me could show me how. No one to explain what UCAS was, what a personal statement needed to say, or what grades certain courses actually required.

When I started tutoring students, the same questions kept coming up again and again. How do I apply for Medicine? What does Oxbridge actually want? Am I good enough? Can I afford to go? Is a degree even the right choice for me, or should I look at apprenticeships instead? Students were not getting straight answers from their careers advisors, and many did not know where else to turn.

That is where UniPath comes in. Aria, our AI adviser, gives every student access to the kind of honest, specific guidance that used to be reserved for those with the right connections or the money to pay for it. Real entry requirements. Real UCAS advice. Real information about student finance, apprenticeships, and what moving to London as an international student actually looks like.

And when you need more than an AI can give you, you can speak directly to one of our mentors. Real students, from UCL and KCL, who have been through the same process. Some came from abroad. Some were the first in their family to go to university. All of them know what it actually feels like.

UniPath is free, and it always will be. Because the gap between those who get good advice and those who do not has nothing to do with ability. It just has to do with who you know. We are here to change that.
